All About Cortex Physiotherapy

At Cortex Physiotherapy, we specialise in supporting people with neurological conditions, complex needs, and mobility challenges, helping them regain independence, achieve their goals, and live with greater confidence.

Founded in Kilmarnock, we provide both clinic-based sessions and home visits across Ayrshire, making specialist rehabilitation accessible to those who may need it most. While our expertise lies in neurological and complex case rehabilitation, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, brain injuries, muscular dystrophy, and cerebral palsy, we also offer tailored support in areas such as post-surgical recovery, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, pain management, and age-related frailty.

Every client journey starts with a comprehensive assessment and a conversation about what matters most to them. From there, we design personalised rehabilitation plans built around individual goals, whether that’s standing, walking, improving arm and hand function, or simply managing everyday tasks with less fatigue and more confidence.

Our approach is hands-on, evidence-based, and client-focused. We use a blend of traditional therapy, modern technology, and innovative methods, from advanced equipment to home exercise plans, always adapting to meet the changing needs of those we support.

More than just therapy, we believe in building relationships. Our clients and their families are at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on being approachable, compassionate, and committed to celebrating every step of progress, no matter how big or small.

At Cortex Physiotherapy, we’re not just helping people recover, we’re helping them rediscover what’s possible.
