Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy service supports people living with pain, injury, or dysfunction. We work with a wide variety of conditions, including back and neck pain, joint injuries, postural issues, arthritis, tendon and ligament problems, sports injuries, and postural or repetitive strain disorders, among others. We also provide rehabilitation for people recovering from orthopaedic surgery or traumatic injury, as well as those managing more complex, long-standing musculoskeletal problems.
At Cortex Physiotherapy, we understand that pain and restriction can affect every part of daily life, from work and hobbies to confidence and wellbeing. Our goal is to identify the root causes of your symptoms and develop a clear, individualised plan to help you move better, recover safely, and prevent recurrence.
We always aim to safely challenge our clients in a supportive environment that promotes progress. When appropriate, this may involve more than one member of our team during your sessions, allowing us to provide optimal support and guidance as you rebuild strength and confidence in your movement.
Our team combines advanced clinical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach. We use a variety of evidence-based techniques, such as manual therapy, soft tissue release, joint mobilisation, exercise therapy, movement retraining, and postural correction, alongside education and advice to help you understand your body and take control of your recovery.
Musculoskeletal rehabilitation focuses not only on easing pain, but on improving function, resilience, and long term self-management. Whether you’re recovering from an acute injury, managing a chronic condition, or striving to return to sport or daily activity, we’ll work with you to create lasting improvements in strength, flexibility, and movement confidence.
